On
Saturday, June 9th, experts and innovators in sustainable urban living will join neighbourhood leaders from Riverdale and the Junction to discuss how Project Neutral can enable meaningful and sustained neighbourhood-level change. Based on feedback from a range of stakeholders, expert panels will be addressing the following ideas:
1. Municipally financed renewable energy retrofits
2. Retrofitting Urban Neighbourhoods for District Energy
3. Neighbourhood Carbon Co-ops: Using offsets to fund local projects
The Summit is being co-chaired by
Councillor Sarah Doucette and
Councillor Paula Fletcher and we are delighted to announce
Tom Rand, author and Cleantech Lead Advisor at MaRS, as our key note speaker. In addition, we will have a terrific line up of expert speakers for each of the ideas that will be explored (more information to come).
We're looking for people who are passionate about their neighbourhood to participate in our Neighbourhood Summit. You do not need to be an expert on any of these issues. If you're interested in learning more, please contact our coordinator Jon at
jonathan@projectneutral.org. Please note that space is limited and that we cannot guarantee spots to everyone who expresses interest.
