The next DIGIN meeting takes place on Tuesday February 9th 2010\, 7\:00PM in the Ambrico Room of the Wallace-Emerson Community Centre\, 1260 Dufferin St. (at Dupont).
DIGIN meetings are a great place to meet other residents and find out more about what is happening in the general Bloor-Lansdowne area. There are often representatives from Councillor Giambrone's office to provide updates about local issues and other news.
I haven't received a complete agenda for the meeting yet\, but the main focus of this month's meeting is that our member of Parliament for Davenport\, Mario Silva\, will be in attendance to answer questions. See below for the email sent by DIGIN's chain\, Donna Cowan\:

It's hard to believe\, but skating season is almost over at our local rink at Campbell Park. The rink closes after Sunday February 28th\, and the final pleasure skating session is on Saturday February 27th from 4\:00-6\:00pm.
The Saturday afternoon pleasure skate has been a huge success this year. Many people from all over the neighbourhood are coming\, not just for the skating but to hang out in the friendly outdoor atmosphere with other neighbours. Lots of kids\, and people just learning how to skate too. Even if you don't really like skating\, it's fun to just hang out at the park and chat with people\, or warm up by the campfire with some freshly-made donuts and hot chocolate.

Beverley Coburn\, a personal trainer who runs Active Age Fitness\, has been leading \\"Monday Night Runs\\" (and walks) in our area. Every week\, these runs always lead to new places within a few kilometres of the Dupont and Lansdowne starting point.
These free events are a great way to get some exercise\, explore our local neighbourhoods\, and meet new people. Give it a try sometime.
