I received an e-mail overnight from James Thoem who lives in our Ward near Dovercourt and Bloor. James is looking to rally support for the No Casino Campaign. He is asking all interested residents to voice their concerns before City Council makes a final decision.
You can make your opposition to the mega Casino known in a variety of ways. Sign the online petition at www.nocasinotoronto.com/take-action, take a lawn sign http://nocasinotoronto.com/lawnsign/, call Councillor Bailao (416-392-7012) or write her (Councillor_Bailao@toronto.ca). James recently met with the Councillor who remains undecided about the mega Casino, so there is still time to influence her decision.
Regardless of where you stand on the issue, it is great to see people like James making an effort to engage the community and working to make the City a better place.
