If you are unable to run/walk, perhaps you can volunteer on the day of the event.
Here's an email from the organizers:
I'm writing to you about the Railpath Run which is happening on Saturday Sept 26th.
This is our 4th year for this event, and we were wondering if you could spread the word to Junction Triangle residents.
We are entirely community run (2 of us living in the heart of the Junction Triangle, and the other two very close by) all the proceeds from our event benefit THE STOP and we welcome all fitness levels and ages.
You can read more about us here:
We would love to offer a discount code for residents who want to sign up. This code will get them $5 off entry: THESTOP
Any support you can offer would be appreciated!
We have tons of awesome prizes from local businesses.
We offer two events, a run and a community Run/walk. Our format is a time trial, so participants run/walk as many laps as they can in 45 mins. Its a great way for seasoned runners to practice speed work and a nice format for new runners who just want to test out an event.
Kids are welcome in the community walk/run event, with the option to just join mom & dad (free) or if they sign up, they too get a full bib and timing on all their laps.
We are also looking for volunteers!
Happy to discuss further!
