Dupont Bistro - Dupont and Franklin - great place!

Not sure how many of you have had the chance to visit this local restaurant / bistro / bar at the northeast corner of Dupont and Franklin, but I have had the chance to go there a couple of times now and I have been pretty impressed. The owner, Flavio, and the servers, are all to be commended in creating an atmostphere that is a clean, inviting, and interesting place on Dupont to visit.
It's a great business to support in our neighbourhood - and in my estimation, the kind of business we might like to support in the evolution of Dupont.

My husband and I had dinner there on Friday. It was great. The decor is very low key and lovely.
Supposedly the chef worked for Mark McEwan.
The food was very good.
I had pulled pork and apple compote toasts, the asparagus salad and the steak frites.
The steak was great, but the frites were really just frozen fries.
They have no LCBO licence yet.
Overall I would say goodbye cheesy sports bar and hello June Harlow.

June Harlow's Restaurant - Dupont and Edwin - new place!
Haven't had the chance to go in yet, but this is the newest culinary addition to the Dupont strip - and it just opened. I've heard great things so far, and it also looks like a clean, inviting and interesting place I would like to support and visit. They are offering a discount to local JT residents for a while, from what I understand as well

Yes, my son and I walked by yesterday to get a closer look. It definitely looks like an inviting atmosphere and hopefully, tasty menu.
I noticed they open at 5:00 p.m. Anyway, it is nice to have more options.
Also noticed another newly refurbished place called "Image Foundary" on south side of Dupont a few doors down from library.

The current hours are as follows: Tues & Wed 5-10 (bar open until 11); Thurs-Sat 5-11 (bar open until 2 am). Lunch hours and Sunday brunches coming soon. I think this place is going to be great for the hood!

Thanks for the recommendation - will have to try this sometime. While I'm new to the neighbourhood, the Dupont strip between Landsdowne and the overpass looks like an interesting mix between old and new. Lots of potential!
