The notice below arrived in my mailbox on February 27th. This visioning study is for an area just outside of our Residents Association, Bloor St. between Dundas W. and Keele, but its impact may affect most of us.
If you shop on Bloor St., use Dundas West subway station, use the Bloor GO station, or even just walk, cycle, or drive through the area, you may be interested in attending this session. Details below.
VISIONING SESSION #2
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 2008 6:30 PM
1573 BLOOR STREET WEST
Last night, a rally and candle light vigil was held at 21 Randolph Ave to support the Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club, who are facing eviction from their current building. Despite the snow and wind, approximately 80 children, parents, and other supporters attended the rally, along with local city councillor Adam Giambrone.
Councillor Giambrone provided some positive news for the situation: The club's lease was extended by one month until the end of March, which gives everyone a bit more time to find a solution to this issue.
More photos from this rally can be found in our image gallery.
