Hi there,

I work in the area, and am looking for a parking spot to rent, open to covered or uncovered. The office is at Dundas and Dupont, so somewhere in the area.

Thanks

168 Bus Speed on Symington

Has anyone noticed an increased issue with the 168 bus going well over the posted 40km/h speed limit?

Complaints to the TTC and police have gone now where.

Wallace & Symington sinkhole?

Road works has put a pilon in the middle of the intersection at Wallace and Symington Ave and seems to be doing nothing more than that. Are they waiting for a 168 bus to fall in the hole or some unsuspecting motorist/pedestrian. Some might argue it isn't that big but the whole road seems to be sloping into a larger hole. One would think they would re-route the bus to make sure or close off traffic to prevent the hole from spreading. I worry as I am 2 minutes on Wallace near the hole and catch the bus everyday and cross the intersection.

Last weekend's community cleanup day was a success, thanks to volunteers from all over the neighbourhood. Local cleanup events were held at Carlton Park, Campbell Ave. / Rankin Cres., Symington Ave., Edwin Ave., the West Toronto Railpath, and on South Perth and Sterling Rd. These parts of the Junction Triangle are now looking much better!

Of course, tackling the litter and dumping problems in our neighbourhood is an ongoing struggle, but you don't need to wait until Earth Day to do something about it. If there's any litter in front of your homes or garages, just take two seconds to pick it up and put it in the proper place. You can also report illegal dump sites or excessive litter to the City's 311 phone number, or 311@toronto.ca

Here are some photos from the April 24th 2010 Community Cleanup, submitted by various cleanup organizers around the neighbourhood. Thanks!
