2012 Spring Cleanup - Summary

Thanks to everyone who participated in the April 20-21 2012 Community Cleanup Days. Residents and visitors to the Junction Triangle appreciate your efforts!

West Toronto Railpath Cleanup

Everyone seemed to be excited to clean up the Railpath this year. In fact, three cleanups were organized. The Davenport Boys and Girls Club did an initial cleanup on Friday, followed by two simultaneously-organized events on Saturday morning by Friends of the West Toronto Railpath and Ben from the Brownstones on Wallace. Even the toddlers helped out as much as they could, and we all had a fun time together (despite the threat of rain!).

South Perth and Sterling Rd. Cleanup

Philip from the South Perth and Sterling Rd. Residents Association wrote:
This was another successful year for the cleanup - we were provided with a courtesy dumpster from Priestly Demolition - arranged by Castlepoint Developments who also provided the beverages.
Photos courtesy Of Rio Tinto Alcan who attended to assist in the cleanup as well.
We had a good turnout - lots of residents from Perth Avenue and Sterling Road turned out - Thanks to everyone!
There is now video surveillance on the areas that have been problematic, and signs have been posted, I now have my home computer linked to the camera system that was installed - the cameras have night vision capability and are inside of the tower and on the roofline.
Thanks,
Philip

Thanks again. And of course if you plan to organize any other litter cleanup events, please let me know and I'll make sure they get posted to the site to get the word out.
