South Perth & Sterling Road Annual Clean Up Day

April 20th is the date set for the annual clean up (rain Date is on the 21st) refreshments will be available, this year I am hoping to have lots of volunteers out to sweep the streets of South Perth and Sterling Road.
Garbage and lawn bags will be provided but if you have extra they are always welcome, we will have a secured Dumping Bin - Courtesy of GFL available on the day of the cleanup, this will only be accessable during the hours of the cleanup. Cleanup will start at 9am and will go till ???
Please bring a rake, gloves or broom or shovel, an invitation is being extended to the local businesses that have never participated on Sterling to see if they will also participate this year in beautifying the neighbourhood- beyond their front door!

April 10th there is a meeting regarding the Castlepoint plan (Sterling1919 tower) with City planner Sarah Phipps in attendance, this will be hosted by DigIn at the Wallace Emerson Community Centre at 7pm it will be an informative meeting to attend - where residents can also raise concerns about the Bloor and Perth Site that has sat hoarded for 3 years and is now slated to become a rental building with 150 rental units...all without any community consultation.

Thanks and look forward to seeing neighbours at both events.

Cheers,

Philip
