Carleton Park Pumpkin Lighting needs money for permit

For the past 6 years, we have held a community Pumpkin Lighting at Carleton Park on Edith Avenue. This year, that tradition is in jeopardy unless we are able to raise donations of $86 to cover the cost of the new permit that is required now that garbage collection has been privatized and Parks and Rec will no longer be able to pick up the pumpkins for composting. If you are interested in donating, time is of the essence. Please call Shelley at 416-760-9795 or drop donations off at 3 Edith Avenue asap, so that the permit can be secured. Many thanks!

Additional info from Vic:
This is a pretty cool annual event that's been happening for six years, bringing many people of all ages together from around the community. It would be a shame if it wasn't able to happen again. I posted some photos from the 2009 event here.

UPDATE:
Shelley informs me that: "I am delighted to inform you that a member of the community, Alexandra Oleksak, has come forth and donated the entire amount required for the permit."
