Big, mysterious rock sculptures beside Railpath
So, has anyone else noticed the odd rock "sculptures" beside the railpath, at the Ruskin entrance, behind the bench, on the other side of the fence?
There are two of these large, rock-like things which at first glance look simply like big, oddly placed rocks; secondly, like some kind of artistic endeavor; but lastly (without jumping over the fence to look more closely because I simply didn't have the energy) as something more mysterious, considering the southernmost "rock" has some curious, small holes in it - made in a circlular fashion as if to house some kind of speaker, or microphone? underneath... Really odd. They are clearly not real rocks, and as art, it is put in an odd space, and as something else - well, the intrigue really makes me wonder.
Anyone know anything else about these newer, neighbourhood inhabitants? And as an aside, does anyone know why we are now missing the garbage and recycling bins at the same location?

Well...
Maybe they should install a couple of cameras for both safety and garbage observation - I have a dog and I'd certainly prefer to have a garbage around to toss the doggy-poo. Not to mention that people just start throwing there trash around in their absence...
Railpath "rocks"
I checked those out today. Definitely fake....hollow, and very light.. Yeah, looks like leftovers from some kind of art project or stage setup. The holes do look like they maybe had a speaker behind them at some point.
No idea who put them there or why.
I wonder if they took away the garbage and recycling bins from some of the Railpath entrances because they were being used for household garbage. That seems to be a serious problem for alot of those bins, that one in particular, and up at Osler. The garbage cans at Symington get stuffed full of household garbage too.

Could they be the Rocks that Parks is putting in to stop cars driving on the Path? Could the holes be for bolts to attach to the cement part of the Path?
