Free Bike Tuneup/ Shed Opening on Railpath/Donate a Bike!

Join us on the Railpath at the Wallace Bridge at noon on Saturday the 29th to see the Railpath garden shed named "Hilary's Shed" in honor of Hilary Bell who helped create Railpath. We will also be saying thanks to Rio Tinto Alcan who was kind enough to donate the shed this year.

As a prelude to what the shed will be used for The Bike Pirates will be present from noon to 3 pm to offer their free bike service to anybody who wants to tuneup or check their bike. Right there at Wallace Station so whether the bike is going away for the winter or you are going to tough it out regardless of the weather---stop by and have your bike checked out for free.

Donate! Donate! Donate!

The bike pirates will be more than happy to accept the donation of any kind of bike so they can do what they do best: refurbish it and get it back on the road. So please recycle your cycle and bring it to the garden shed and have the Bike Pirates do the rest.

Do the Bike Pirates accept

Do the Bike Pirates accept kids bikes too?

Bike Pirates - Kids Bikes

I believe so. They are also partnered with the Davenport West Bike Project to provide bikes to kids:

...and the Davenport West Bike Project will be at this event too. :)

Absolutely

Absolutely. The Davenport project and Bike Pirates are 100% in sync on this. If you have an old bike or a kids bike bring it down and let another ride. Bike pirates teach you how, and West Bike teaches you why. Next year, more kids on Railpath than ever. Thanks to all our partners and sponsors.

Have a bike you don't need?

You can donate it to the Bike Pirates this Saturday from noon to 3 pm at Wallace Bridge and they will refurbish and sell it at a fair price to somebody who will love it. Dont let old bikes rust away when they still have lots of life left in them.
