On Friday, 14 May, on the RailPath, between (approximately) 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., I saw a medium-brown coloured
mastiff type dog. The dog had on a black harness; but no leash, no muzzle and NO OWNER was in sight.
This is not the first time I have seen this type of dog wandering alone in the area of Perth and Ruskin at approximately the same time of day. I am guessing that the dog somehow escapes from their backyard.
I was also told that this dog has occasionally been seen wandering, on weekday mornings, before 8:00 a.m., on Perth Avenue, alone.
If anyone knows of a neighbour who owns such a dog, please let them know that their pet is wandering the streets and could get hit by a car.
The dog looks very similar to this photo, but is medium brown in colour.

Railpath has always been
Railpath has always been designated as an "on leash" area and as always there are problems with dogs loose. Most people are pretty cool but some just dont get it and some also leave poo bags on the ground. It will take a while for things to become established etc and currently the main priority is getting the stones in place to stop people driving cars on the path.
Dog was Unattended
Hi Scott,
I appreciate you reiterating that the RailPath is an "on leash" area, however, this particular dog has also been seen just wandering around Perth and Ruskin streets, alone, by different people on different occasions. No owner has been present.
