Hi there, Michael Vieira here from Councillor Bailão's office. The Junction Triangle Management Traffic Management Committee traffic plan is still a go. Our office is in the process of ironing out a few details with the City's Transportation Services dept. An update will be posted on both this site and Councillor Bailão's website in a few days.
I would suggest using the Bike path and stay off of the busier streets if at all possible. there is still a lot of traffic even if it is a 1 way. (sterling Road is a 1 way street and yet we still have drivers that go the wrong way down the street.)
Does anyone know what the status of this Junction Triangle Management Plan?
This is a great initiative, it would be nice to see if there is some progress on this.
We use Dundas Dovercourt Veterinary Hospital http://www.dundasvethospital.com and have been very happy there. Dr. Dayed and his staff are professional and above all courteous.
After we moved, we took our dog to Dundas West Animal Hospital. I really wasn't impressed, actually. I may leave it to my partner to do future visits, or we may move her. But I wouldn't recommend it.
The windows in my townhouse (not the same development) will quite frequently develop moisture in fall and early spring when it is cool outside and after a rain/snow event. From what I've read I think its because the house is too air tight and not allowing the moisture to escape. Opening the window a small crack fixed the issue and didn't affect the temperature in a great way.
I would suggest getting a "Hygrometer" to determine the humidity level within various rooms. I purchased a cheap electronic thermometer with a Hygrometer built in.
I had 2 cats. I went to Dundas West Animal Hospital in the Junction and had a number of issues. When I requested my file be sent from that vet to another I found personal comments made about me...nice, very professional!!
I ended up at Bathurst-Dupont Animal Hospital and never had ANY of the issues that I had at Dundas West. Prices were much more reasonable too.
Hi!
Unfortunately I was unable to attend the meeting on April 23. Does anyone have any updates from the meeting? Or were any conclusions or updates reached? Thank you for any info!!!

In response to our letter above, members of the Junction Triangle Rail Committee and the Clean Train Coalition were invited to meet with Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath this afternoon. (We owe a huge thanks to Davenport MPP Jonah Schein for arranging the meeting.)
The frank discussion, while appreciated, revealed the limits of NDP support for electrification. The New Democrats are prepared to be "noise-makers", but electric trains are up to the government we were told. There was no promise to make the issue a condition for future support of the Liberal minority government or a clear explanation of why they have already passed on two opportunities to make electrification government policy now.
Not a great day for the campaign or anything resembling a step forward.
3. As many have noted, the bridge is not being torn down. Having spoken with staff in the developer's office about a related matter, my understanding is that the component of the bridge that is going to be affected; a) will have a temporary staircase so as to not impede on access and b) is not an original part of the bridge, and is not included in the Listing.
last week i walked by that lot and saw a big sign for a cheque cashing place..like a money mart but some other company. i was incredibly disappointed and surprised to see it there. i was hoping for something far...cooler...than that. if it is a cheque cashing place, my prediction is that it doesn't last very long.
A lot of bridges have locks on them signifying the love between two people.
Yes, we ARE NOT losing the bridge and one way to add significance to it is to walk with a loved one up there with pad lock and key, "lock your love together on the bridge forever and throw away the key" probably on to a passing train so you can never find the key again and your love can never be broken. http://www.parischerie.com/4384/lovers-bridge-over-the-seine-river/
it adds a nice touch to the bridge. Personally, I just love looking out the window, staring at the people crossing the bridge. It's really quite peaceful.
It would have been nice to see extra speed bumps added to Campbell Avenue. The ones that are in place are too far spread apart, and it's an all too common accurance to hear/see cars and trucks speed down the road.

There would have been a by-law approving the name change. Your best bet is to contact the City of Toronto Archives.
1. Love locks actually originated in Serbia, in eastern Europe, on its Most Ljubavi bridge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_padlocks)
2. The bridge is listed on the Inventory of Heritage Properties, and further details about its built heritage can be found here: http://app.toronto.ca/HeritagePreservation/details.do?folderRsn=2437314&...
