Protect the Distillery District

Dear residents,

We are a few residents of the Distillery District who have started a petition to stop the development of a 57-story building right on this historic site.

If you agree with our message, please take 2 min to sign and help us share this petition in any way you can with the residents of your neighborhood.

Thanks a lot,
Katerina Koka

Union Lofts

I wanted to reach out to any purchasers of units at the proposed Church Conversion project "Union Lofts" at the corner of Perth & Wallace. Check out the private group on facebook called Union Lofts Residents Discussion.

It's a great place to connect with other purchasers and share information.

Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MoCCA) - Sterling Rd.

This morning it was announced that the Museum of Canadian Comtemporary Art (MoCCA) will be moving in to the former Tower Automotive building on Sterling Rd.

MoCCA is considering the lease on this two-floor space their new "permanent" home, and will be the anchor tenant of this refurbished heritage structure. "Renovation of the c.1919 industrial heritage building has been approved and construction will begin as early as the fall of 2015, with a target for completion in the winter of 2016-17."

Perth Avenue Church Development

I have been watching the building of the "lofts" for the better part of 2 years and it seems it has come to a stand still . Now we just have an eyesore to look at . It seems the pigeons are doing more work there . Feel sorry for the buyers.

NOTE: There's an existing forum for this development here. Replies should go in that forum. Closing comments here.

The final staff report to City Council will likely be in Q1 2015.

The developer hopes to start sales later this year (via their sales centre at Davenport and Lansdowne), with construction beginning sometime in 2015.

Fuse Condos - Lansdowne & Dupont

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the Fuse Condos development planned for Dupont & Lansdowne, with the Metro and Shoppers Drug Mart? The signs have been up for quite awhile, listing an occupancy date of 2014... but I haven't seen any actual development yet.
