Carlton Park - Big upgrades coming in 2013

A message from Ward 18 City Councilor, Ana Bailao, via the Carlton Park People's Auxiliary Facebook page:

Hi Carlton Park People's Auxiliary,

As follow-up to our May 14 meeting at St. Sebastien Catholic School I submitted a project list to the City's Parks, Forestry and Recreation capital improvements branch. The City is now committed to carrying out several major improvements in 2013, including: removal of the baseball diamond and addition of junior soccer field; removal of concrete pad and associated restoration; addition of hard landscaping elements like an asphalt path, accessible park entrances with planters, seat walls and fencing; new drinking fountain with dog bowl. We will also ensure the City's Parks department adds additional park benches, tables, landscaping and topsoil. This work will be carried out in consultation with the community and my office will stay top of the file to ensure we have a project manager working with us as soon as possible.

If you would like to participate in this continuing process and receive periodic updates from my office with respect to these improvements, please email councillor_bailao@toronto.ca with your name, address, telephone number.

Please also pass this message along to neighbours who are not part of the Facebook group, but who may nonetheless be interested in participating.

Thanks for your continued efforts to improve our local parks!

Sincerely,

Ana Bailao
City Councillor
Ward 18, Davenport
