I just wanted to mention that I feel that all our parks are underused. There are so many ways that we could better use these spaces and keep crime at bay. I would love to see a seniors' walking class in Perth park, a Farmers' Maket in Campbell Park in the warmer months, a boot camp for youths at Erwin K. Park. When I was a kid Campbell Park had activities for kids during the summer like arts and crafts or games. Perth park has a shed. What's it for? Campbell Park has a club house, is it ever used? When I walk by these parks I hardly see any one using the space. What can we do to improve this?
The Holiday Train is coming once again to the Junction!!!! On Tuesday, December the 1st from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm you and your family can enjoy live entertainment and a visit from the brightly decorated holiday Train in the Stockyards. The train will pull into the yard beside Rona on Ethel Avenue. Santa will even make an appearance. Bring some non-perishable food for the food bank. Hope you can make it out!!!

The concert culminates in a spectacular fireworks display at 8:00 p.m., followed by a skating party on the iconic rink with tunes provided by DJ Tony Sutherland. A Fair Trade Market featuring crafts, clothing, accessories and Christmas decorations from around the world will also be open on November 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
If I were ever charged for putting up these signs, I would tell the court the messages were political satire and that I'm sorry I didn't realize people were actually dumb enough to take them literally.

Not overly fond of cooking as it is too time consuming however for fall/winter season this is one of my favorite simple recipes.
Butternut squash: 1-2 large
Chicken broth: 2-3 cans
Onion: 1 large
Olive Oil: 1 tbsp
Cream: 1/2 cup*(optional)
Salt
Pepper
Nutmeg: (optional)
Directions:
1. Wash and cut the butternut squash(s) in half.
2. In a large saucepan, Slice and saute the onion in olive until tender.
Add squash, broth, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
3. Bring to boil and cook for 30 minutes or until squash is tender.
4. Puree squash mixture in a blender batches until smooth and then return to saucepan.
5. Before serving, add cream and heat through.
Another option is to Roast the butternut squash(s) cut side down on a sheet in the oven for about 45 minutes at 350 degrees F. Then scoop out the prepared squash but I like to mix all the ingredients together and boil. It's less time consuming.
If you look very closely at the posters that were written during the strike and the one the poster "free soil" Look at the "R" it is different. I can tell it is a totaly different person writing this. Oh by the way I did a overnight at my son's house in Ajax. My granddaughter was being Christened that Sunday.

I think what Anonymous-2 means by "personal gain" is this -- perhaps long ago you both started with pure hearts and did care about the area, but over the years it all feels like it has degenerated into the two of you fighting to keep your images as heroes of the community and in a way, a sense of local power. By disparaging other members of the community when they are also trying to make a better place to live for their children -- that doesn't always focus on crime and poverty -- there are other ways to help an area, people had to face your scorn and misinformation and playing on people's insecurities to divide us as a community.

If the wheels were turn in your corner, one morning a construction crew started digging up your corner of the street, and now that quite street is a mude field, tell me how would you feel. I know exactly how I would feel and react. It is so easy for you to mock John but in true reality your ignorance and stupidity shows your true colours.
